The population of Parsis a notified minority community under National Commission of Minorities Act 1992 had declined from 114000 in 1941 to 57264 in 2011. In this backdrop the scheme was introduced. Jiyo Parsi scheme launched in 2013 aims to arrest the decline in population of the Parsi Community in India. It comprises of three components Advocacy Component Health of the Community Component and Medical Component.
